Akello Alison Mary is a Ugandan youth leader, public speaking trainer, tourism ambassador, peace fellow and development policy advocate committed to empowering confident, purpose-driven young leaders across Uganda and East Africa. She is the Executive Director of the NextGen Speakers Foundation, an initiative focused on developing public speaking, leadership and effective communication skills among young people.

A graduate of Governance and International Relations from Uganda Christian University Mukono, Alison works at the intersection of peacebuilding, diplomacy, youth leadership, communication and social impact. She mentors students and emerging leaders in public speaking, advocacy, stage confidence, diplomacy, negotiation and leadership expression, equipping them with practical skills to think critically, communicate effectively and lead with confidence and purpose.

Beyond training, Alison contributes to youth-centred initiatives promoting peacebuilding, responsible leadership and sustainable community development. Through her work with Youth in Action Uganda in partnership with Arigatou International in Kenya and the Great Lakes Youth Program, she supports initiatives that encourage young people to understand and embrace their role in building peaceful and responsible communities.

Through the NextGen Speakers Foundation, Alison's work is driven by a belief that when young people are given confidence, discipline, mentorship and opportunity, they can rise beyond fear and limitation to become transformative leaders in their communities.
